
Mortgage rates climbed considerably in the last week according to a report from the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac). 30-year fixed rate mortgages averaged 6.37% in Freddie Mac's latest report, which is an increase from 6.30% the week before.
15-year fixed rate mortgage rates also climbed, from 5.98% the previous week to 6.06% last week.
5-year adjustable rate mortgages reported in at 6.10%, which is a jump from the previous week's rate of 6.00%.
Meanwhile, 1-year adjustables averaged 5.56%, up from 5.46% the week before.
