Mortgage Rates Inch Upward

Mortgage rates inched upward in the last week according to a report from the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac). 30-year fixed rate mortgages averaged 6.12% in Freddie Mac's latest report, which is barely an increase from 6.11% the week before.

15-year fixed rate mortgages averaged 5.86%, up slightly from 5.84% last week.

Five-year adjustable rate mortgages remained unchanged at 5.92%, while one-year adjustables rose from 5.43% to 5.45%.
